Auto Owner Considerations; The MY17-20 model Colorado’s received a different torque convertor to the previous years & there is well known & documented issues with lockup function shutter occurring during acceleration & cruise, unfortunately if you are experiencing this issue it’s already too late to completely fix, However it can be reduced by adjusting the gear & speeds the lock up occurs at.
Once a new Torque Convertor is installed & the transmission flushed & refilled, reprogramming is strongly suggested as the factory TCC programming is the cause of the issue.
